Help: Red record light in "now playing" stays on

Philips DSR6000. Long after the program was over the red dot in the list of recorded movies in "now playing" stays on. When I attempt to delete the program it gives me the option to delete. When I select this it just goes back to showing the program with the red dot by it.

This Tivo was hacked to include 2 80gig hard drives.
Another problem I've had for several months is that when I select a program to record, whether from the guide or directly it takes several minutes showing the clock until it reverts back to the guide. Is there a fix for this?

Whenever I have had this problem, it has been fixed with a restart.

Reboots or restarts fix the first problem.

Series 1s with larger hard drives seem to slow down when more programs are added to the NPL and/or the To Do List.
