Recently, the Hard drive on my 2 year old DirecTV R10 started acting "flakey"- would reboot in the middle of watching recorded shows, etc. Decided to replace the hard drive with a larger drive (160 gb) - I have a fair amount of Computer hardware knowledge, and a fair amount of Linux knowledge. Used the Weaknees Tivo upgrade chart to determine what I wanted to do- Copied over the old drive to the new drive- After the Weaknees disk reported several errors in the process, finally got to a command prompt- but no report on the new recording size. Tried the new Hard drive anyway- seems to work ok. Still reports as a 70 hr recording time. Anything I need to do to make sure I've got a higher capacity?
