Change pillarbox color on HR10-250?

Has anyone found a way to change the pillarbox/letterbox/background to an arbitrary color on an HR10-250? The menu lets you pick grey or black; mine's been grey, but I'd like to set it to white for a while, to compensate for burn-in.

Wouldn't white burn in an image faster than black or gray?

Depends on the display type, I suppose...but burn-in is mostly a thing of the past these days anyway.

I'm looking for someone who's figured out that the RGB value for the "grey" mode is specified at location 0xa12399 in tivoapp, and I can patch it there... or something like that.

Wouldn't white burn in an image faster than black or gray?That's more or less the idea... See, my side panels aren't burned quite as much as the center portion. (I've had them set to grey from the beginning, but that wasn't enough.) This is only apparent when watching bright scenes in 16:9 material. I want to burn the side panels at full brightness for a while during 4:3 material to try to even the panel out.
