I use my peanut remote to control both my TiVo and my TV. It still powers and switches TV inputs fine, but it's all wacky with the TiVo- if I press left, it will play. If I press channel up/down in the Now Playing list, it will cycle through all shows then make that horrible bong sound over and over again. I have to press the TiVo button a few times to get it to respond.
I replaced the batteries with a fresh pair- nothing. Is my remote dead?

It may also be remote interference from a remote with a stuck button or one that is stuck between cushions on the couch. The interference does not have to be from a TiVo remote - it can be from any remote.

Great suggestion! Coincidentally my window A/C started turning on and off just now. The power button on its remote was stuck!
Thanks! You just saved me 30 bucks. :)
