Stopping time

When recording games at the soccer world cup the recorder stopped at the end of regulation time even though there were two 15 minute overtime periods added and subsequently a penalty kick shootout.
These extra activities were missed by my TiVo.
Is there a way to make sure that the entire program is recorded even when it goes "overtime"?

Record the next show that follows the soccer game.

You should always "pad" recordings of live sporting events, or any live event.

Go into the "to do" list, find that particular event, go into recording options, then down to "end time", it will let you choose 1 minute, 2 minutes, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, etc.

1 hour pad for a live sporting event should be enough.
