Hi all I just purchased a used Series 1 tivo (PTV100) off ebay that seems to work fine except it can't call out to get the guide. I've tried multiple phone jacks and have read about numerous modem problems and failures. Are there instructions posted anywhere to help diagnose and repair these modems. (I'm pretty handy with the soldering iron)
Or could somebody walk me through a serial connection to PC setup to update over broadband? I didn't get a serial cable with the unit but made one out of spare parts. I couldn't get it to work though.
