Rs-tx20 Gsod!!

I keep getting the Green Screen of Death on my Tivo RS-TX20 Toshiba DVR. It gets to the GSOD and then reboots about a minute later and goes back to GSOD. Its been doing this for 24 hours, what do I need to do here?

May not be applicable but I had the same problem, booted a few times, then went back to constant rebooting. The problem turned out to be a dirty dvd that was in the dvd player. Used a paperclip to pop the door, removed the dvd, now all is well (after being down for 3 months).

If removing a DVD doesn't solve your problem, you might have a bad hard drive. The easiest solution is to replace the drive. You can find resources in the Upgrade Forum, which will help you get the unit repaired.

I've mentioned this in a couple of threads this week. My Pioneer DVR-57H is in a GSOD loop now. I had a copy of Russ Myer's Mondo Topless DVD in it that I just removed. (great movie, btw!) Still in the same loop. The new hard drive should be arriving soon from weaknees.com. Hope that works as I've got Lifetime on this unit.
