I have noticed that audio and video are slightly out of sync after converting to MPEG 4 or IPOD video formats using Desktop 2.3 plus. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and is there a way to fix it (for example by changing the profiles file)?
Thanks!

When did you download 2.3? If it was the first day and the installation file said something about B3 in the name then you got the wrong version. TiVo accidentally posted a link to a beta version which may have had some bugs. If you have the B3 version uninstall it completely and reinstall the version on the website now. It'll remember your key and automatically upgrade you to the Plus version.

Thanks for the quick response...it was the first day...Idon't have the installation file, but is there a way to determine from the program itself which version I have installed.
Thanks again!!

Nope, that looks like the right version. I haven't seen any other reports about sync issues, so I'm not sure what else it might be.

Thanks again. It is a slight error that I have seen...perhaps 1/4 a second (I think the audio is ahead of the video most of the time). The problem can go away sometimes in the same file - it seems as if the 2.3 software checks for the issue and tries to compensate...

I did have one transfer to Ipod out of sync slightly but when I viewed the source file on the TiVo it was out of sync as well. I put it down to a one off in the source recording not the desktop conversion. I haven't seen it again.
