Cannot uninstall TivoToGo 2.0.0.2

The Windows Installer [Windows 2000] tells me that the path cannot locate the "WISE Installation Wizard" file with about 40 numbers following.

If I cannot uninstall ver 2.2, I cannot install ver 2.3.

Anyone have any suggestions??

If you still have a copy of 2.2, reinstall it then unistall.

I do still have the ver 2.2 download and when I click on it to install, I get the same message about the Windows Installer not being able to find the correct Wise installation file to do the uninstall.

This is the name of the file I think it is looking for:
WIS4E8390903B68436AB3CFA2A08C38DD26_2_0_0_2.MSI

I have no idea what it does or why I don't have it on my laptop. I might have something to do with Windows 2000 that I have, and Windows XP which I don't have.

Maybe try reinstalling Windows Installer itself?

How are you trying to uninstall 2.2................through add/remove or through the installation of 2.2 or 2.3? (is it ver. 2.0 or 2.2?)

It should be located here..........C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wise Installation Wizard\

I have tried to uninstall 2.2 through the add/remove and through the windows installer. I get the same message about not finding that file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Wise Installation Wizard\.

I have now uninstalled Windows Installer, rebooted, downloaded Windows Installer from the link above, installed it and tried to uninstall 2.2 through add/remove and through installing 2.3 and got the exact same messages I decribe above.

You can try shutting down everything TiVo........Deleting the Tivo program files manually and deleting TiVo registry entries.......then rebooting and reinstalling the 2.2 and uninstalling it for a cleaner uninstall. Then 2.3

I have tried everything listed above and it still will not uninstall/install. It seems that the Wise installation file referred to above is corrupted. I emailed Wise about how to fix/restore it but that was days ago and no answer.
