Transfer ends after 41mb (but show is 700+)?

I've tried with both my PC and my laptop (wirelessly), and it's not working.

I'm trying to transfer a show, and each time it ends after 41mb, at the exact same moment. Other shows end prematurely also, like it only sends the first few minutes, then thinks that's the end of the show.

Has anyone experienced this? How do I fix it?

I had it happen to me once, transferred a show and only the first 30 seconds...which contained a commercial showed up when it was played. Right at the end of the commercial, it stopped..like right where the start of the show would be. It was an HBO show so I dismissed it as one of those broadcasts that have the code embedded in the sat signal that protects copying. I read that in another thread here. I don't know how true it is but that's what I "chocked it up to". If that's not true, somebody let me know!

I had this happen to me about a month ago. Try this process.

(1) Close TivoToGo Desktop
(2) Shut down the Tivo Server
(3) Bring up Windows Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del)
(4) End the Tivo Transfer process
(5) Clear your Tivo Cache usually somewhere like C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\TiVo Desktop\Cache
Also delete the three .dat files in the Tivo Desktop folder
(6) Find and delete the 41mb .tivo file
(7) Reboot your Tivo DVR
(8) Reboot your computer
(9) Try the transfer again

This usually works for me (I transfer 4GB programs). In one case this process did not work for me. I was never able to transfer the file I wanted. But in my case, I was transferring old home movies that I had recorded from my VCR to my DVR so that I could burn them to DVD. I had to re-record the troublesome program from VCR to DVR, then it worked. It seemed that there was something about that one file that prevented in from successfully transferring.
