Hi Folks,
I purchased the key to allow me to copy Tivo files to my PSP...
And, I copy the files over to the PSP following the directions in the readme in the transfer directory:
4. Copy the converted recordings to the PSP drive. You must copy the files into the directory
called \MP_ROOT\100MNV01. If this directory doesn't exist, create it.
5. After the files are copied to the \MP_ROOT\100MNV01 directory on the PSP, they must be renamed
using a specific naming style so that the PSP can read them.
To do this:
* Right-mouse click on the first file and select Rename.
* Rename the file M4Vxxxxx.MP4 but instead of 5 x’s, use a unique 5-digit number.
* Repeat for each file.
And my PSP says that there are no video files to play.
Has anyone gotten this to work?
Thanks,
Matt

Hey Matt,
I am having the same problem tonight. To confuse the issue even more, when you search on the TIVO website for the transfer to PSP instructions, they conflict on the naming. They say to name it M4Qxxxxx.MP4 where the PSP file that is created in the conversion directory say's to use M4Vxxxxx.MP4. I have tried both way's with no luck.
Also, I have even tried to move the files to the psp/videos/ directory and still it say's no video's found.
If anyone out there can help Matt or myself with this, that would be GREAT!!!
Thanks... Mike

Figured it out!!!
I was renaming to "M4V12345.mp4", which in actuality was renaming it to "M4V12345.mp4.mp4"
When you rename it, just type the "M4V12345" and it works like a charm!

If the Tivo video conversion files use the newer codec, you need the newer firware on your PSP to view the file. Just like google video downloads, they probably wont work wth PSP firmware below 2.0
But let me suggest that you never update your PSP if you have 1.5. Homebrew only works on 1.5 but you can emulate 2.0 and 2.5 with "devhook 4.1d" and play game backups.
If you know or care what I'm talking about, good. If you already updated, sucks or you :)

My problem was I didn't realize there was a seperate portable recordings folder. I was taking the file out of My TiVo recordings. But, still the .mp4 file name did not work. But just naming it M4V12345 does.
They really need to write clearer instructions.

you might not have windows explorer showing file extensions.
Tools -> Options -> View
and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"
