I am broadband connected and do get the showcases....however, I have never gotten any of the new subscription on-demand features (Product Watch etc).
I think it might have to do with Zone Alarm. I found this imy ZA logs tonight. Is this the problem?
ZoneAlarm blocked traffic to port 5353 on your machine from port 1025 on a remote computer whose IP address is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (XXX is the assigned IP of my TiVo)
Thanks!

Is your TiVo's connection to the internet routed through your PC? Or is it connected to a hardware router?

Connected wirelessly through my 2wire router.

Then there is no way your PC firewall is having any effect on your TiVo, so it's not Zone alarm.
It could be your router's firewall, but I believe those apps use standard HTTP ports so it shouldn't be an issue.
Have you enabled the video transfer option in your Manage My Account profile on tivo.com?

Yes...I can actually transfer stuff from the Tivo to the PC. I just double checked - Video downloads is Enabled/On
And I can login and do the "My Weather" Yahoo stuff.
I wonder if there is a different port somwhere that the video goes through.

I opened up that port this evening through Zone Alarm - maybe it will work. I'll report back if it works...I was curious if anyone else had issues.

I tried turning off ZA, and that doesn't help. So I configured the ports on my 2Wire to accept passthrough for the TiVo...we'll see how that works. Any other suggestions?

That's all I've got. This is a very unusual problem.

How often does the TiVo go out and look for video? Is it daily...twice a week? Maybe I am just doing this on bad days :(

i called Tivo, and it looks like my 2wire router is blocking the incoming pushes from the Tivo servers. They gave me some IP ranges to open up on my home gateway, but i don't see places to open up IP ranges on the Home Portal, just ports, whichi I opened up.
Is there a 2wire setting I need to look at to open up the Ip ranges? Also, do I open up the ports on the main computer or the Tivo?

Opening the ports should be enough.

It's fixed.
I had the Linksys router set up so both the computer and tivo were firewalled. I opened up TiVO (DMZ plus) so it accepted all incoming applications. On my host computer, I opened up the TiVO ports and did the same on my software firewall. About a week after that, the subscriptions started coming in. (Rocketboom and CNET)
One thing I did notice...I was unable to stream podcasts through the tivo podcast client previously, and I was able to after I made the switch. That happened immediately.
Thanks for everyone's advice
