I am a six month user of Tivo and have not learned all the ins and outs. I LOVE it and am wondering why none of my 'friends' hooked me up before, but I have it now and am not giving it up.
One and only thing I find frustrating is that I can only have it in my living room and not in my kitchen where the other tv is. (yes kitchen - its our family room)

Is there a way to connect one Tivo box with two tvs?

I dont need another one to record shows, just a way to get the info from the one into the tv in the other room. I ask only because I know my hubby was able at one point to hook the dvd player into the other tvs in our house by long cables and such. So we could watch on one tv what we were seeing all over the house.

I would love to be able to watch what is recorded/saved on my tivo in the living room, in the kitchen as well.

Any thoughts? suggestions? Anyone done something like this?

Not sure if this is even the place to post this - if not, direct me where? I just saw tivotogo and didn't know what that was.

Anyone done something like this?for starters, if you've hooked the tivo to your tv with an rca cable, there's a second set of rca outputs on the tivo that can be hooked to your kitchen tv if it has at least one set of rca inputs and if the cable you're using is long enough to reach the kitchen tv.

there are wireless solutions that are available as well, but i'll leave any explanation of those solutions to folks who know more about them.

No personal experience, but there are such things at Radio Shack and Best Buy.

I've tried AV beaming before with one of those devices, but had bad luck with quality/realibiliy. Also, mine was fairly inexpensive and didn't beam remote codes back which made it less appealing as well. I either returned or ebayed it, can't recall which. unPnP is another story :) but a bigger investment in time, money, and technology. (could be cheaper to get a second TiVo at that point)

The best thing would probably be a second tivo. 6.95 a month b/c you have the first one, right?

Is there a way to connect one Tivo box with two tvs?

I have two TiVos in the front room (hooked up via the S-Video/Left Right Audio connections), and then use the other set of outputs (Composite Video/Left Right Audio) to feed my bedroom TV (no S-Video input). I then use a "Remote Sender" unit to control the front room units from the bedroom. I use Harmony remotes in both rooms. Do a Google search on remote sender.
You could also use the RF output on the TiVo to feed your kitchen TV.
Hope this helps, TiVo Steve
