no audio when watching live TV via component cables

I am using Pio DVR57H ,DishHD VIP211 via HDMI out to DVI adapter to LCD HDTV

This isn't enough info.

The DVR-57H has neither HDMI nor DVI input, so just how is that Dish receiver feeding the 57H? And how is your sound connected? HDMI carries audio, but DVI doesn't - so if converting there is no sound there. You need to be feeding audio into the 57H as well as video.
