Sorry if this Tivo Desktop v2.2 bug has been mentioned before -- nothing showed up in my search.
Once I got my Tivo Desktop transfers working again (see TMARC thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=227957) ) I initiated a batch transfer of 3 - 4 half-hour shows.
During the transfer, one (or maybe even two; DT) shows started recording on the Tivo. One or more transfers had completed correctly, but then a show that I hadn't set to transfer started transferring in place of remaining ones I had marked.
The Tivo Desktop window showed the correct name for the wrongly transferring show. But on the hard drive, it was given the filename of the show that should have transferred.
Seems like the pointers to the shows for transfer from the Tivo didn't update correctly when new shows started recording.
