View Full Version : Problem with my UK TIVO getting programme guide

Hi i have a Uk Tivo for last 2 years and suddenly my Tivo has not been able to connect to Tivo server and get programme guide. Last sucessfull call was on 16th May 2006. I have now got no programme guide.

Is anyone else having this problem.

When Tivo dials out i can hear Tivo server answer but they do not establish a connection. I have rang Tivo Uk! what fun that is! 3 times now and they said they need to email US Tivo and ask them if they are having problems with UK server connection etc.

PS. It took me about 30 calls for someone to answer each time i called!

Still waiting to hear!

Going to take my Tivo round Girlfriend tonight and see if it works there.

Nothing on my phone line has changed and Tivo does seem to dial out ok plus server at other end does answer.

I have also changed modem cable.

please can anyone help, i miss my Tivo so much.

Hi

Cant think of what might be going on, but in your interest, could you post a bit more info?

Have you got a lifetime or monthly subscription - is it valid? you can check this in the Tivo Settings

Is your Tivo modified? do you have a network card or are you dialling up over the phone line?

Have you checked the dial out number with Tech support?

have you tried forcing a daily call?

Yes I have tried a forced daily call

I have a monthly subscription and Tivo UK have told be that if my account was not valid it would still make the test call.

I have not checked the dial number but a modem server does answer on the current number.

My Tivo has no mods.

It dials via phone line, is there another way i can get listings? ie. internet?
