TivoDesktop on intel mac - static with lame

Hi,

I downloaded the Universal binary TivoDesktop for my intel imac. And I also used "fink" to get the latest copy of lame and put it in /usr/bin/lame -- while I can see my complete playlist, all the songs have an absolutely horrible, very loud, static. It's not as if the static is overlaid ontop of the song -- there is only annoying static.

Has anyone come across this before?

As is your custom Dennis - great reply, fix worked as advertised. Now, I hear I can get movies working too! So I'll research that and read some other threads.
