All,
I have an upgraded Series 2 Tivo (Hughes) w/ 2 ineternal drives. Since this morning, the unit has been extremely sluggish in responding to commands.
At first, I believed it to be an issue with the hard drive, but I am able to browse/watch/delete (I deleted over 80 shows from suggestions as a test) with no issues. Watching live tv is also a non-issue.
The slowdown occurs when trying to access anything in the Directv menus. The system comes to ab absolute stop when it attempts to phone home as well. This makes me thing it may be motherboard related. Also, every once in a while, I catch a flash of black on the directv menu screens (possible error message being displayed?????)
I was going to backup the drives and possible yank the original system disk and restore onto the 160gb harddrive, but that may now be fruitless if it is the MB.
Any thoughts on what it could be?
