Strange problem - Can't play or archive to DVDs

I have a UK Tivo with a Sky digibox and an Aurex DVD+RW recorder connected to an Orion 16x9 TV. I've got the hang of most functions, but cannot play or archive to DVDs.

When I press my Tivo 'VCR' button to select my DVD-Recorder it displays the DVD+RW content screen for a second on my Tivo AV2 Scart channel and then switches my TV to RF channel '99'.

I've followed the Tivo cable connection instructions on the Tivo 'Start Here' guide, except for one thing, which seems to be an error on Tivo's part.

Under 'G' - 'Connect Tivo to VCR Output Socket' - I have it connected to the DVD Input/Output scart socket, rather than to the DVD TV socket. I tried the DVD Recorder's TV socket (which is the only one that fully qualifies for the 'Output' description) but it didn't work. And, since the Tivo will be archiving to the (VCR) DVD Recorder it surely has to be connected to a scart socket that allows Input.

My Scart cables have all 21 pins connected.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is here?

Assuming your DVD recorder accepts an RGB signal you might be better off putting the DVD recorder between the Tivo and TV? The VCR SCART socket on Tivo will pass an RGB signal through but the Tivo>VCR output is only composite (IIRC).

Sky> Aux IN on Tivo
TV out on Tivo > Input output on DVDR
TV out on DVDR > TV
