How can I transfer my recorded shows to my lap top while I am on the road?
I have the series 2 standard tivo box... with the current upgrades, it's connected to my home network, I can transfer while at home, I just want to do it when I am on the road.

forward a port on your router to the tivo, then use the
https://<public ip address>/nowplaying/index.html to download to your laptop.
tivo is the user name and your MAK is the password.
if it dosent work try using the port# too ie: https://64.73.82.91:9443/nowplaying/index.html
i made up the ip so you have to use yours but the port used 9443 is for https so thats the one you foward to the tivo.

what you are asking is against tivo policies which you agreed to when you signed up for service... someone up there should (at least) be mentioning that to you...
