I am schedule to have a new HD DVR installed on Tues (8-Noon). I currently have two regular DTivo's, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Both have dual lines. A third DTV box (non tivo) is in the game room for the kids. I will be moving the LR tivo box to the game room for them. I will have the HD DVR in the living room hooked up via DVI to my HD TV.

Is there anything I should do/buy before they get here to make this go more smoothly. I did not order an OTA antenna. Should I get an outdoor antenna for them to install for me? Any other advice?

Your best bet is to call DTV before the appt and confirm that the relocation of your LR TiVo is on the work order correctly. If its not they can correct it pretty simply, but if the tech shows up and its not there, he won't do it. Other than that you should be fine. Just make sure the paperwork is correct.

you definitey want an OTa antenna to take full advantage of your HR10. What you need totally depends on how far you are from the antenna fields in your area.

I am 30 miles out and don't need anything more than an indoor antenna placed in the attic.

did the dude who insalled do that for you or did you have to run the wire yourself?
