I have a season pass set to record the Formula 1 races and have had no real problems untill recently. It's been recording the practice and qualifying that I don't really want in addition to the race but that's easy enough to Del.
Now though, I'm missing races because the actuall race isn't recorded. I'll get practice and qualifying but the race won't record because "another program was recorded in the last 28 days" or something like that.
I figure that it has something to do with the way they format the name in the guide. What can I do short of selecting "record all"? I'm already recording three programs to watch one so I'm not really interested in recording all the reruns of the race, practice, and qualifying...

Thanks,
CW

CBS is covering some of the races which has screwed things up for me too. I tried setting a season pass for both Speed and CBS but I still missed a race (caught it the following week on Speed). A Wishlist may help but I now check and make sure the "live" race is setup to record if CBS will be covering it. No problems with Speed.

I use a Wish List instead of a Season Pass. That way, it records all my F1 stuff and I don't have to worry about what channel it's on.

Yeah probably caused by the CBS races.

Tonight (Friday night) Speed is showing last weeks British GP, if you want to record it.

FWIW, the CBS coverage is almost not worth recording :( They SUCK compared to the regular Speed coverage.
BUT
I'm almost sure it recorded the Manaco CBS race on it's own...
I'll look and see if it's a wishlist or a SP when I get back home.

yeah, the CBS stuff is really crap.

"yes bob, in Formula 1 the wheels get changed out in what we call a pit stop, about every 20-30 laps."

Since I already know who won by the time CBS bothers to put it on the air I don't bother. I usually record the Speedvision tape delay later. CBS's broadcasters need remedial geology and anatomy. In geology they would learn what a hole in the ground is.
