Possible to get podcasts onto a Series 1?

Hi folks, I have a Series 1 Sony SVR 2000 with an expanded hard drive and a TurboNet Ethernet card connected to a router.

Is there a way to do one of the following:

1.) Get the Series2 Podcasting functionality?
OR
2.) Transfer podcasts/vidcasts from my computer to my Tivo, or stream them to my Tivo?

The Series1 units do not have the software capable of supporting any of the new networking features that are available to the Series2 units. S1 runs 3.0 software and networking wasn't even introduced until 4.0.
