how to stop random recordings?

My tivo is really great...but for the last two weeks it has been recording Jeopardy. With no prompting from me. I come home from work and check out stuff and it is there. I keep deleting it and can't get it to stop. Its not on the 'to do list' or the 'tivo suggestions' list and I don't get how to tell tivo - no thanks! to jeopary!.

Any suggestions?

1. Have you been playing with the Guru Guides? I don't know if any of the guides includes Jeopardy.

2. Are you sure it's not a Tivo Suggestion? If you turn Suggestions off, would it still record?

go to messages and settings,then go to recording.and turn off the Random recording option.i had the same problem in the beginning too

turn off the Random recording option.

No such option exists because the feature doesn't exist.

Under settings > recording there's an option to Auto-record TiVo suggestions. Turn that off. At least it's suggesting you like such high minded shows like jeopardy, mine suggested Bay Watch! (okay, I made that last part up, I swear).

Also check you havent got an autorecord wishlist set up that is finding this show. It may be that there is a coincidence on a keyword or something.

Also, if you don't want to turn off the tivo suggestions, or that doesn't work, u can press the red thumbs down button, and tivo will get the message that you don't like it
