I have searched and cant find a clear answer to my issue.
In the last 2 day, the hd tivo no longer sees a signal on 119 and 110 sat. I tried a reboot, and once it came up it responded very slow to remote commands (10-15 seconds between pressing and action) and it has spontaneously rebooted 2 times in the last hour. I am pretty sure this is hardware, but is there any chance that this could be a hard drive issue?

Also, I bought the unit in Feb 06 so its still under the directtv warranty, but how do i avoid the whole ownership vs lease thing if I have to go through a warranty replacement?

Any help is appreciated.

Once piece of hardware you didn't mention is the dish. I started to lose signal from 119 a couple of weeks ago and though, oh oh. But, it was just that my neighbors tree had grown into the line of sight to 119. A relocation fixed it.

However, the reboots point in a different direction. Do you get any signal at all on 110 or 119? It could be the integrated LNB/multiswitch or a downstream multiswitch, if you have one. It might not be responding to the 22kHz signal to switch to the 110/119 sats.
