Directivo Locked up???

I have a 40hr RCA and it seems to be locked up during "Clearing Program Information & To Do List...." It says it could take up to an hour but it's been around 3.

I tried to unplug but it goes through start-up and just jumps back to the :"Clearing Program...."

Any Suggestions???

Or try the search feature of this website. Might find the most likely answer... dead hard drive.

you can always pull the drive out and see if it even passes smart diagnostics on a computer instead of just declaring it dead can't you

DTVPro: that won't usually do any good. Drive diagnostics may still show nothing wrong, yet the Tivo O/S will find a bad sector and still fail to boot. Reimaging the drive MAY fix it, but it could also die in a few days.
