So I got in on the "free" deal for the HR10-250. Can anyone tell me what cables are included with the unit? Does it include HDMI, DVI or component cables? Just wondering if I need to rush out and buy something before my Monday install, or if I can wait for a monoprice order to ship to replace the cheapo's they include (if they include any).

I tried looking on the D* site and a couple others to see if the packaged contents were listed, but couldn't find anything.

Thanks!

Mine came with component, DVI and HDMI cables (and S-Video). But some have reported getting fewer cables with theirs.

The included cables are of good quality and don't need to be replaced unless you need longer lengths.

Mine came with component, HDMI, DVI, s-video, and composite/stereo audio. The quality of the cables is fine.

Good to know I won't have to worry about it. I need 6 feet max - might even be able to get by with 3 ft.

Thanks all!

The included cables are 6 feet or thereabouts. If you get yours "professionally installed", make sure that you get all the cables.

the only cable it does not come with is the optical toslink for audio out to your a/v receiver

Frankly, I was amazed at how heavy the component cables felt. I know that heavy does not necesarrily mean high quality alone, but jus tlooking at the contruction they seem better made than the $50 monster cables.

same as above but I 'think' there was even dvi -hdmi but dont quote me.

As noted above, if an installer comes, make sure you have everything the front of the owners manual says you should have. you paid for them and heck, you may need some down the line even if you dont need them today.

I've read reports of installers saying they aren't included or else they take them and sell them to others. Horrors! Just not right.

Yes, the "DVI" cable I mentioned was HDMI to DVI, since the HR10 does not have a DVI jack.

Mine came with a HDMI cable. I was wondering if you guys think that the cable that I got should be replaced with a monster cable or just leave it alone. One more question what's better the included HDMI or a monster componet cable. I have a Sony 55inch Grand Wega KDF-55XS955.

Thanks for the help

The included cable is fine. Monster cables are way overpriced for the quality.

Huh. I didn't get an HDMI with my box. Just component, RCA, and s-video.

Why do different boxes not all have the same cables?

i wouldn't call any of the cables that come with it "good quality", Ricaud.

ok, yes. good, no, in my opinion.

by the way, i agree that monster is way over priced.

did you see them open the box (they could have taped it shut though)

i'd call and complain you didn't receive everything the owners manual said you were supposed to. Cables aren't cheap and you did pay for it.

If, and i say if, an installer took it, he should be ashamed

if you dont like the company dont steal from it, quit!

Thanks!

My HR10-250 arrived last Friday, and came with the full complement of cables.

But what is the "free" deal you are referring to? I've never seen anything less than $398 in recent months.
