I've had the Tivo a while and have used it successfully for over two years connected to a Telewest Pace (4000 IIRC) digital cable box via the IR adapter from Tivo.
Today the Tivo has stopped changing channels completely.
The Tivo remote still controls the Tivo functionality, but refuses to change channels. When the senders were not lined up correctly before it would send part of a the number sequence, with the 'blue number box' from Telewest in the top left corner. This is not even showing.
The remote has batteries.
The Tivo works, in that it thinks it has changed channels and the guide for the channel it thinks it's on.
The cable box is functioning correctly with the cable remote control.
The IR adapter still has the red LED lit, but I have no way of testing if it's functioning correctly.
Is the IR adapter at fault? If so, where can I get one, because whenever I call up the Tivo support line, the phone just rings and rings!
