Wow, looks impressive. I hope they know how to dodge that particular prediction.

Nice "Unbreakable"/ "The 4400"/"X-files" mix. :)
Not too hard to put together an interesting trailer based on that premise... harder to sustain a series. But I hope thay can, I love stories like that.

One of them is bound to end up in a spandex suit. :)

Of course, it will have to be black leather because as X-Men has shown the audience won't believe a "comic book" version of a superhero suit.

Don't forget The Dead Zone with the apocolyptic predictions

Anyone else notice that the music seemed like a ripoff from Battlestar Galactica?

It was probably BSG music then, they often re-use music in trailers.

Or rubber. But the new Superman has the traditional Superman costume at least. :)

It seemed to me that they were deliberately trying to make the cast similar to that of Lost (if a bit younger). Even the promo shot (http://www.nbc.com/NBC_First_Look/Heroes/images/masthead_heroes.jpg) reminds me of the cover work on Lost season one DVD.

Looks a bit ambitious for network TV. I doubt it'll last a season.

Yeah, the two Japanese characters in Japan definitely made me think of Lost. Having an ethnically diverse cast isn't new, but having characters that diverse and not speaking the same language is definitely a challenge that Lost has tackled well.

If the show's a success, the cast will probably be pictured on the Cheerios box, or maybe Oreos.

Tried to watch the preview but the quality is so poor that it was impossible to sit through more than 30 seconds of it. And speaking of sitting through things, how clueless is NBC for running a full 30-second ad before the preview? (Naturally, the streaming quality of the ad was just fine.) What morons.

The trailer played as well for me as the ad did. The advertisers have to have some outlet. There's a lot of sites that run ads like that on their videos - and no "skip ad" option!
I knew we were in trouble with ads everywhere years ago when I saw the screen over the drive-thru speaker at McDoncalds with a lemonade ad on it. A reality now.

I get kinda a 4400 vibe from the whole thing, especially after last nights premiere for season 2. Maybe NBC is trying to capitalize on that shows format and success.

Same here...a 2-minute "behind the scenes" type preview.
