So, my Tivo with a dual hard drive that I put in last year always seems to freeze up a lot when Tivo releases a new service update. It'll freeze up a bit and then gradually seem to get better. It seems to do better if, when walking away from the TV, you make sure it's set on 'Live TV'.
But, since the latest service update, it seems to be locking up more frequently. I *thought* I remembered somewhere about a code sequence you could enter on the remote that would force the Tivo to boot from the original boot sector - was I dreaming or was that real? I'm thinking that it's getting confused somewhere where it's trying to switch the boot sector from the old one to the new one.
Anyway, any help in resolving this issue would be much appreciated...
