Sorry if this has been posted many times before - I did search - honest!

I want to catch Top Gear, ideally on BBC1 on Sunday, but failing that , the repeat on BBC2 on Tuesday. Currently I have two SPs for this one on BBC1 for first run only the second for BBC2.

I really dont want a wishlist that would pick up any Top Gears on UK Gold!!

Is there any way to set a wishlist that can positively exclude the UK Gold channel?

No - the SP way is the best solution.

Thanks for the quick reply - I was trying to get my SPs down to a more manageable number (I have 60)

Booking 2 season passes for BBC1 and BBC2 should theortically work and the TiVo should only record one showing.

The order the season passes are booked may affect which one it records though. I booked 2 SP for Sky One and Two for Battlestar Galactica and I couldn't work out why it wouldn't record the first available showing, opting to record the later broadcast on Sky One. It turned out to be season pass order that was causing the strange behaviour.

Thanks - I recently worked out that bit.

Not so sure about the first run or FRWR though.

(perhaps we could have "stickies" in the forum to explain these things?)

60 is hardly any!

A "First Run" restricted Wishlist should do the job as the only new showings of Top Gear are on BBC1 and BBC2 - However this relies on the OAD being correct...

First Run will only record episodes where:

- The OAD is within 28 days of the date when it is broadcast
- The program "episode" flag is set to "True"
- The program does not fail the 28 day rule (already recorded with in the last 28 days, or was in Now playing within the last 28 days)

First Run and repeats will record all showings that do not fail the 28 day rule.

60 only 60 I dream of the days when I had only 60 season passes. Currently 198 season passes.

You can use Mr Tickles TiVoWeb Guide Data checker to see how many are going to trigger a recording.
