My R10 tivo is stuck on powering up.What now?

I assume my hard drive is shot. This unit is 1 1/2 years old. Do i call directv to swap it out?and what will this cost?

It's up to you. Capable of doing your own upgrade? Then pickup a IDE hard drive and go for it. The tools are readily available if you search for 'hinsdale howto' in google.

Not capable? If you call Directv, they will send you a non-Tivo unit, which you may not like compared to your R10.
