Upgrade Question for Original SA Series 2

I have a TCD140060 Series 2 Tivo with a 60gb drive. I've read through several of the "how-to" instructions (including Hinsdale) on adding and/or upgrading a TiVo drive. My question is - can I just simply copy or ghost my original drive from my Tivo onto a new, larger drive and be done? I know that sounds awful simple, but wouldn't that work?

Also, if I want to increase the size of my primary drive to a drive larger than 137GB, what additional steps must I take.

You need to download the LBA48 version of MFStools and follow the Hinsdale instructions.

My 140060 box with a 300GB Seagate now shows 376 hours.

You will need to make sure you software on your drive is 7.x or higher and like stated above either Weakneeds or PTVUpgrade CD with LBA48 support.
