Last weeks episode left me wanting for more so hopefully this episode delivers.

You know it will. It is probably the best show on TV right now, at least in my book.

I was surprised that Tommy found out about his brother and ex so soon. Boy did Tommy sure F up his brother bigtime! I won't be surprised if Tommy ends up in a jail cell for this.

I'm surprised his brother didn't pull his piece.

That was a wild ride; I have a feeling he's gonna be OK with Maggie and Sean. If only just for the effect of being that much more upset about Janet and his brother.

I think the "Probie" will think twice before telling Tommy who he is dating :D

I won't be surprised if Tommy ends up in a jail cell for this.Ain't nothing gonna happen to Tommy. His bro crossed the line and got what he had coming to him. Johnny will just take his medicine and that'll be the end of it.

Was hoping that Sheila and Janet's little scuffle went a little longer though. Nothing like a good cat fight. :)

DOH! What was I thinking. Yes it is Sean that is dating Maggie... and I'll bet he says NOTHING! :p

PS: Tatum O'Neil sure looks different than her younger days

Wow, that was quite a powerful ending! Setting up season 3 nicely! Very nicely!

I love this show! (and looking at Probie :) )

This show never disappoints me (unlike the Sopranos did this season!) It is one of the best shows on television. I cannot say "best," simply because I am too much of a Lost fan!

The scene with the duct tape was absolutely hysterical. At first they had me thinking he was simply going to walk out, then I thought he was going for the vodka, but when I saw him rooting through the drawer, I knew what he was up to! Too funny.

I didn't really buy Franco going for Susan Sarandon. Sure, she played her cards well, but I would have thought that once he got close up enough to her to really see her age, he would have moved on. Especially in a place like that, crawling with young hotties.

What is Jerry going to do about his wife? And why didn't he remind her that he was her husband, not her brother? How much could he be paying anyway that they can raise the fees $250 a month!?!?! Dang.

I thought Lieu had tracked down where the porn star lived at first, rather than his ex-wife. What a mess he is - drunk dialing the ex about the watch like that and then cutting up his wrist like that. He is really bottoming out the way he was talking to the vet.

Wow, that last scene was explosive. You knew Tommy would go ballistic, but that was crazy. It was like Dean Winters was a rag doll. And Tommy even tossed his ex aside like he was the Incredible Hulk or something. Dang.

Lots of humor. "Forbidden fruit" "What, like melons?" I laughed quite a bit when Lieu dropped the cigar from his mouth.

The racial slurs were a bit much, in that I don't imagine sheila going that nuts with them.

I didn't like the slow mo at the end but the scene was still great. I liked how he finished his cake.

Wow! two episodes in and this is already turning out to be a great season. I'm glad that Tommy found out about who his ex was seeing early on in the season, what a great ending. Tommy's dad sure had a interesting 83rd Birthday:D.

Lieu really is bottoming out, hopefully he gets some help soon.

Can't wait till next week.

I liked Lieu's comment after talking to sean and tommy's brother. "This is going to be a lot more fun than I thought!"

I never considered that it was Lieu and Lou. What's his real name ??

I was so happy the Tommy/Brother thing went off this early, certain other shows would have dragged it out all season and then have them make peace :) This and The Shield show me how TV should be done these days. Now we get to see the consequences instead of lots of fake situations where T doesn't find out.

I never considered that it was Lieu and [not] Lou. What's his real name ?
I think it's Ken. That's what the vet was calling him while stiching him up.

I never considered that it was Lieu and Lou. What's his real name ??
His name is Kenny Shea. He's the Lieutennant in their firehouse, so they call him "Lou"/"Lieu" just like they call the chief "Chief".

Now, while what they call him is short for Lieutennant, it's still spelled "Lou", not "Lieu" (at least that's how it is on the Rescue Me website: Lt. Kenny "Lou" Shea).

Best Line of the night:

Colleen: "It's OK grandpa, did I tell you how much Jesus loves you?"

Tommy's Dad: " Yeah, a couple of times... tell Jesus to lay off will ya. I'm glad he loves me, but that's how rumors get started."

"Being born-again is the new hot thing; everyone at school is doing it!" :)

When Tommy asked Colleen what the sexual implications of her born-again christianity were, I was expecting her to say, "we only do anal". :D

Apparantly that would have stopped World War II

That reminds me... on the fx site you can watch the first 4 minutes of next week's episode. Is this the first time they've done that? Do other shows do that too? I thought it was kind of innovative.

What an awesome episode I love how they let tommy slow burn for a minute before his attack. Poor ken the man is reaching rock bottom at a record pace.

Man, I feel SO bad for Kenny...it is just sad....I relaly hope someone figures out what is going on and helps him. Heck, he actually reached out to the vet guy sewing him up, but that guy didn't believe him....

THe firehouse/bar dialouges were just GREAT. The topics are mostly always the same, but it never gets stale.

Great episode!
I loved Tommy's line about Condoleezza Rice uses her c*ck more then he does! :D

And what great acting by Denis Leary when he finds out about his brother/ex-wife. Just by his facial expressions you can tell he's boiling over and about to snap.

Freakin' awesome episode in every respect!

Am I the only one that laughed throughout the entire show? It's amazing how this show can have me laughing one minute and utterly sober the next.

Even more awesome is Charles Durning himself. Stolen from Wikipedia:Durning served as a soldier in World War II, during which he was awarded a Silver Star and three Purple Heart medals. As a 21-year-old infantryman in the U.S. Army, he was part of the first wave of men to land on Omaha Beach as a member of the 1st Infantry Division on D Day in the Normandy Invasion. One of his injuries took place in the Battle of the Bulge, where he was one of the few survivors of the infamous Malmedy massacre of American POWs.

Yeah his facial expressions are funny. Even funnier was the scene where sheila read them and figured him out.

Surprised no one has commented on Tommy noticing Sean taking his (Tommy's) sister's cherry from her Manhattan. She sure is one sick puppy and Franco is right, she is insanse with a capital crazy.

As to the Cheif's wife, if she has Alheitzmer's why not tell her you're taking her out for lunch and then drop her off at the new cheaper home? It isn't like she will notice, right?

I loved seeing Tommy pick Janet up and slam her into the car and then Janet starting the slap fight with Sheila.

I was rather surprised that Tommy let Coleen out of his sight since the last time that happened with a kid he lost Connor.

Great episode, can't wait for #3.
