Bummer. One of the best shows, I'll miss it.

Season 7 the end for The Shield (http://www.thefutoncritic.com/newswire.aspx?id=7170)

Hard to believe the Shield has been on that long. It's one series that I might have to spring for the box set of all seasons.

You might want to put a warning on the main post that htere is sound on that site. I opened it up and got a surprise with sound sitting here at work.

So we get 23 more episodes to go and it goes into 2008. That is pretty descent news to hear that it is not done at the end of this next season lilke some suspected.

Great show- has had its ups and downs with story line but overall one of my favorites.

Rather see it go early then continue with bad writing.

Such an awesome show. But with everything that has been going on, I couldn't see them going over for 3-4 more seasons anyways

That article is considering the fifth season to be two seasons.

I doubt very much the producers are doing that, since they would then have to renegotiate contracts...
