Hi all,

I got back from holiday and one of the first things I did was check my TIVO.

I found that a couple of days ago things stopped recording. Playing one of these files causes TIVO to pause for a few seconds and then display the delete the recording page.

I then checked Live TV and get

"The recorder cannot display live TV. try these tips.." etc

I have tried all the tips displayed and have got nowhere> i assumed it would be a skybox fault, but that works when connected to the TV directly. The link between the TIVO to the Skybox seems pretty secure, I use a quality THOR RGB cable.

Any ideas would be appreciated...

Have you tried powering off both the TiVo & STB then powering them on again, STB first?

Had the same problem first with NTL analogue and then once with NTL Digital, found changing the channels on the STB worked.

:)
Thanks mate - that worked a treat. I had already tried switching each one on and off but not in that order.

Ok, i was going to post a question this morning about how i thought my picture was dropping out for a second every hour or so and that i hadent noticed this frequency of disruption in the last 4 months of trouble free use,, but I didnt!

Have come home from work to be told by SWMBO "O I cant get the TIVO to work"!

Symptoms are exactly as described in this post. I have followed all the on screen suggestions - neg. I know about the 'two inputs' issue and its not that. If is press AUX then the picture / sound is perfect. If i change channel on Tivo remote the NTL stb changes perfectly. The only thing I am not getting is the 'live' feed picture on Tivo, all the menu's work and all my recordings are still accessable.

Ok so we are going out tonight and its Big Brother eviction night!! Help

O and i have tried turning off both boxes and restarting STB first.

Is this the excuse for the disc upgrade I have wanted.. but cannot really afford?
