Transfer from Active to Non-Active TiVo

I currently have two TiVo's active on my account. I have them both hooked up to my wireless network and transfer between them wonderfully. I was thinking about de-activating service on one of them. Can I still transfer shows from the active TiVo to the non-active TiVo as long as they are both still hooked up to my network? I would like to keep the 2nd one just for transferring shows to it and storing.

Nope, both need to be currently subscribed for this to work.

no - the manual and all clearly states you need a subscription for these services.

why mention the manual? because you happen to be the unlucky 10th person this week to post a thread and ask the same such question. ;)

Only thing you can do w/ a unsubbed series 2 is to watch stuff that's already on there.
