Hi, Can you visit the Tivo online page at:
https://www3.tivo.com/tivo-tco/index.do
and run a search on keyword "Cubs" and see what you find?
I'm only getting a few results - a total of 9 with 3 being Cubs baseball related.
This doesn't make sense since I get in several channels that telecast Cubs games.
A search on keyword "baseball" only brings in two pages of listings.
This should being in a ton of listings, far more than the 26 total that came up just now on the website.
The actual Tivo unit offers far more listings. What is the website not providing the same listings?
Thanks.

Are you signed in before you do the search? If not, you won't be seeing all the channels that are provided in your area.
I tend to do the "Advanced Search" and in the "Title" field enter "MLB Baseball" and under "Description" enter "White Sox"
That should get you plenty of good games to watch. :)
Seriously though, only one result will show titled "MLB Baseball," but if you click on that you will see all the upcoming MLB games, and there are multiple pages of games. For some reason the search engine won't find just your teams games, but you will see them in the list, and select them from there.

After searching "baseball", click on "MLB baseball".

I'd like to find a way to record all the available "Live" Cubs games, but even with a well tuned Tivo, this can't be done.
For one thing, the game re-runs aren't always clearly marked. When they have a night game and it re-airs the next afternoon, the Tivo can't always tell the difference.
Another issue is that when the games air on Comcast Sports Chicago PLUS, there are no listings whatsover for it. You just have to know the unmarked channel and when to record it.
Thanks.

I wish they'd change the generic "MLB Baseball" title to something a little more team specific.
Thanks for pointing out what is hidden behind that link.

Ummmmm, I don't think that is true. I haven't tried it through the website, but from my Tivo, I have created a Wishlist that will go out and automatically record "first runs" of my team's games. I've never had a problem with reruns as they always seem to be marked.
As for the Comcast Plus issue, you might be right, but I would have to look at my setup later to confirm.

I am signed in, but my cable provider is not Comcast, so they might offer different program listings.

According to Cubs.com the next game on CSN+ (Comcast Sports Chicago Plus) isn't until July 21, vs the Nationals.
If you remember this thread next month, feel free to test and see if your Tivo can find the CSN+ game listing. Let me know what your results are.

There was a W Sox game on CSN+ this last weekend, and my Keyword Wishlist correctly found and recorded the game without problem. My provider is Directv, so it recorded channel 668.

Sounds like Directv might have better baseball game listings than my local cable dudes.
PS: Found this page that might be interesting...
Comcast SportsNet PLUS will air eight (8) Cubs games
during the 2006 season.
