invalid rebate on tivo DT

I just checked the status on my tivo series 2 dt rebate online and it says

Description: Get a $150 Mail-in Rebate with purchase of any TiVo Series2 DVR between March 1, 2006 and April 30, 2006.
Offer Date Range: 03/01/2006 - 04/30/2006
Offer Value: Variable Reward
Retailer: Circuit City

Invalid
Status Detail: Your rebate was declined, a postcard has been sent that provides additional information.
Invalid Reason(s): Invalid Purchase Date
Invalid TSN NUMBER

I didn't do the online submission because it didn't work so I just sent it like that and now it looks like I won't get the rebate. Can someoine from tivo Help? I want to know why I won't get it.

The offer you have listed is not valid for DT. DT has to be purchased on or after 5/1.

You seem to have applied for the wrong rebate. The S2DT came out 5/1 so you must have bought it in the past four weeks. The promotion you should have applied for was the $150 Summer Rebate 5/1/2006 - 7/29/2006.

Since the rebate co will have your original papaerwork try calling their 800 number and ask to be transfered to the correct rebate program/

I did the correct rebate. I think they made a mistake. I double checked everything before I mailed it. What can I do?

Just call the rebate center. Should be pretty easy for them to fix it.

I had a similar issue. Took me less than 5 minutes via the 800# to get it fixed.
