I have a non-TiVo-branded S2. it is on the free 3-day basic plan and has been for the last year or so.
I just noticed that in the last week or so that when I go to the to-do list and open up a recording, on the lower left corner, rather than just "record as planned", now it has a few more options, like "repeat recording", etc.
and if you go to "repeat recording", you can opt to get season passes for that show or to manually record that show over and over again.
This feature however only works for some shows but not other (for example, i cannot record ABC News Tonight or Meet the Press with this method).
so has Tivo decided to give us all free season passes or what?
