How many dual tuner S2 TiVos are having mono sound problems?

It should be noted that the problem appears to be happening when you use the coax/RF in. If you are recording via RCA in the problem may not occur.

Add me to the list of people with no stereo. I have my DT set up on the same TV as an old S1. Last night Lost on the S1 = Stereo. Lost on the DT = Mono. I haven't called yet but I will in the next few days. Plus it defeats the purpose of having a tuner if ypou use the RCAS this is got to be the worst thing they could have done withthis product I am going to look into returning mine .

If you read the other thread where he asked people to respond, you'll see that TiVoPony has already responded that they are aware of this issue and are working on it...

Plus, a couple of us have offered work-arounds in that thread to help people get their DT units to stereo while TiVo is working on a fix... I have all three of my DT's recording in stereo now, and I'm using the RF in...

Yes, this is probably frustrating to people who actually notice the difference (though not everyone does), but TiVo will get it fixed... my 3-1/2 years experience with them gives me every confidence that they will get this fixed as quickly as they can... but until then, I'm already able to enjoy stereo sound with all of my DT's, and hopefully you will be able to as well with either of these work-arounds...

Its much easier to tell if SAP is working just put a non DT TiVo (or TV with SAP) in SAP mode and find a channel that using it, ABC does in my area then try your DT unit on that same channel with SAP selected (on all TiVos you must change channels to have your SAP go active if you were on ABC just go up one channel then back down to ABC and you should get SAP)

If you voted that you have Stereo it should not be because you did the workaround on the other Thread
