What if a cable co. is making shows "unrecordable"? (Or is it the TiVo?)

In another forum, someone put up a post about not being able to use their TiVo/DVDrecorder to transfer to disc. Seems no matter the channel or the show, the programs are causing a "this can't be stored on DVD" banner or screen to pop up.

Since it's on every channel, it sure sounds like it's the cable company. I've suggested that, but am now wondering if there could just be something seriously wrong with their TiVo.

WTF are you starting a new thread for? This is a currently-being-discussed topic in an existing thread. There is no point in starting your own thread to discuss someone elses problem.

Why? the cause of the problem had already been brought to light. There's really no need for further speculation in the original thread, much less in this one.

Mick, Gastrof is proposing that as a "community" the "discussion" might be helpful and/or enjoyable to others. If you feel otherwise, you have the right not to participate. No need to disparage others.

The specific discussion already existed before Gassy entered the picture. People can enjoy/help there. There is no need for it to exist in two places. Tivo community forum is subdivided into separate topic specific forums for a reason.

you guys like to bitch about the little things - the big problem I see here is that someone posted a question and no one is helping to provide a solution... (no worries, i've this happen many times in these forums before)
