Copyright protection stops DVD recording for all shows

I've read about the macrovision copyprotection flag--but now my Tivo/DVD will not record any content from any source to DVD...as if the flag has been turned on for all content.

I hope and assume this is an error, rather than policy.

Solutions?

What's your signal source - cable? Some cable providers have been known to turn this on incorrectly. They aren't allowed to do so for broadcast channels.

I'd suggest moving this to the "TiVo with DVD" section of the forum.
