Tivo wont respond at first

My Tivo about a month ago started becoming slow to react to my commands. Whenever i first start using Tivo after not having done anything for a few hours it will not respond to any button i press on the remote. Then after waiting a couple minutes it finally responds and will work just fine from then on until i leave it alone again for a few hours.

Any ideas?

A reboot might help ..... disconnect power, wait 30-sec, reconnect power.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the reboot before but tried it again just in case. It did not work.
