Toshiba SD-H400 Remote Codes?

Hi,
My move last year somehow erased the TV code on my Toshiba remote (SE-R0089) for the SD-H400. My owner's manual also disappeared in the move. Does anyone still have the owner's manual and if you do, could you let me know how to program my Panasonic TV? What are the codes for a Panasonic? And do I have to hold down any special buttons while putting in the codes?

Instructinos: TV Power, Volum, and Tv imput:
point the remote away from your SD-H400 and cover the front end with your hand.
Press and hold the buttons simultaneously for more then 5 seconds.

Press the : Tv I/O and Tivo buttons for more then 5 sec. (for tv power volume and mute)

Enter a code.

Test the code. Point the remote towards the tv and test the button.

The sony code is 0000. The H400 remote uses the same codelist as a OFA universal remote.

0236, 0463, 0003, 0426, 0642

those four codes are listed for philips, hopefully one of those will work for you!

Try tv code 0150, the Mitsubishi tv code.

Found my code. No need for help. And for everyone else. The ONE FOR ALL codes do work with this unit. (I didnt know what OFA stood for in the pervious post)

Just go to ONEFORALL web site and use their code list.

The SD-h400 remote is made by UEI, the first UEI remote I seen to list a Sceptre tv code is the new Rc32BB directv remote, its code 11360, which equates to 1360 in other UEI remote that don't use prefixes. But that code in isn't in the toshiba remote. :(

If the sony tv code in the comcast remote is 0000,and toshiba tv code is 0156, then that is a UEI made remote. If it doesn't accept code 1360, you're out of luck, sorry.

Sorry too new of a brand to have code. But the UEI code for Ilo tv in their newest universal remotes is tv 1286.

looking in user guide the only thing i see for a Westinghouse is a "White Westinghouse" I don't know if thats the same or what but there is only two codes listed for a "White Westinghouse":

0463, 0623

Wow, this thread keeps going! Perhaps a scan of this manual would be helpful. I now have a new Samsung TV and my codes are still programmed for my old RCA TV. Somehow I also lost the volume control for my Optimus receiver as well.

Can anybody post the codes and method of programming my receiver as the volume only device? It was setup like this in the past, and it would be great to restore that functionality.

all the codes in this thread are for the UEI made toshiba h400 remote, not the tivo peanut remote. Try codes 0043 & 0067.

You've been great for providing TV codes. I finally got around to scanning the 8 pages of codes for the SD-H400 into a pdf and would happy to send it to anyone that needs it.

All I need in return :>) is some advice on how to d/l programs from the unit to my PC. I already have it connected to my wireless network and am using the free basic programming with keeps me from using the Tivo2go or desktop. Any alternatives?

P.S. Even if you don't know how to d/l the programs, I'll STILL send you the pdf

Not that I know of. The codes come from the manual. Are you sure you are programming it correctly? Press TV power and Tivo buttons down at the same time for over 5 seconds and then enter the code.

Try the philips tv codes for Advent, but be forewarned, non-Advent remotes have been known to fry the eeprome of the tv making them useless.

Scary, but the Phillips ones didn't work either. We moved the SD-H400 from an old Toshiba where the remote worked to the Advent, so I know the remote programming worked at one point. Guess I might have to spend a lot more time with the code search or live with two remotes.

The manual says to press the TV power button and the "TiVo buttons". Its actually the main Tivo Button.

The 6131 is very similar to the 8820, but it is specifically for Tivo and has some specific buttons for that purpose.

a PVR button, Red and Green checkmarked buttons (for Thumbs Up and Down) one for a 6 second rewind, and one for a 30 second skip forward.

But the SD-H400 does not support the latter feature. So I programed it to go to direct directly to Live TV. As it comes it you program it for the for a DVD player and then you can add the functions for a number of function.

A search of the forum gives all of the specific codes for the different features that you then assign to different keys.

I wore out my 6131 out and bought a new one. It is suppose to be extendible so I called and they did have codes for my DTV converter box so I send it in to get the codes added.

But for some reason they said that they can't add then and sent me the 8820 with the converter codes added.

Just got it so I have not set it up yet. But I am going to miss the special keys. Part of that I can "fix" with a Sharpie. And since I only have Tivo basic I don't use the thumbs up and down. They are also zoom when viewing DVDs, but I really don't need that.

But the 6 second rewind and Live TV are going to hard to replace. Those positions are now additional device selections. I don't think that they can be reprogramed, but I am going to try.

The 8820 has some nice features. It will learn from other remotes. And it has positions for 2 micros.

Those might be handy if I don't end up needed them for function keys.

Almost any key on the 8820 can hold a macro, including the device keys. Those become push & hold macros.

Likely because they are discontinued and the hadn't any around.

A little known secret with the 6131 and a few of its brothers, that while it was designed to be extendible, the ones manufactured for retail were manufactured without the components needed (eeprom/jumper/header).
One For all had some set aside with those components installed for requests to have codes added.
The JP1 modding community adds them.

I don't like the position of the arrow pad on the TiVo remote, so I've been using an 8820 with my TX20 from the start.

Perhaps because I don't use the DVD player, or every key on the original remote, but I don't feel the 8820 is lacking in any way; it can accommodate every function on the original remote, even if the labels don't match up exactly. I considered the 6131n at the time, but I wanted a better-rounded remote that would work with other components in my system.

Among others, I have the replay and 30 sec skip programmed to the Replay and Advance buttons. CC/Shows jumps directly to the NP list, and Format/Live for Live TV.

What really surprises me about the 8820 is how well it has held up. I've had fancy factory remotes with button label screenings that have rubbed off in less time, but my OFA is perfect. The original batteries were replaced for the first time this year after being in use for 3+ years. Not too shabby for the six bucks I spent on it on ebay. Maybe I should procure a backup before they discontinue it.

Sorry, the manual doeant give codes for remotes. Only for TVs, receivers and amplifiers using the Toshiba TiVo remote. You might check to see if it has a search mode. I think most do.
