I don't see it on the fall schedule, nor do I see it's been cancelled. Anybody heard anything?

Someone said in another thread about watching shows that have been canceled that it was canceled. First I saw of it...

how many episodes actually aired? I recall them promoting the hell out of it during the Olympics. I even downloaded the pilot via iTunes (for free). I still haven't watched it.
Last I recall, that epiode aired, maybe one more, then it went away, never to return. Is that what happened?

not at all. There have been at least 6 or 7 episodes...maybe more.
Edit: I was way off. After the two episodes this Friday it will make 13 episodes aired.

can't believe freckles and crooked teeth didn't keep this show on!Hey, I think Julianne Nicholson is adorable. Loved her in this show. Loved her in Ally McBeal.
As for the cancellation, it's those sets. They used many from the short-lived L&O: Trial By Jury for Conviction. They're cursed, I tell ya!
Seriously, this sucks. I really liked Conviction. What a shame.

Doh, I saved all the episodes to watch, guess I'll delete them since it's not coming back.
They cancel stuff way to early now. I'm going back to my old ways, watching only new shows already in syndication, safer :)

Can you tell me your thought process on this? Have you seen any of them at all? My logical mind can't process why people wouldn't watch remaining eps of a series. i could see if there was a storyline that went from week to week and the story depended on the continuation of the show , but conviction generally is a stand alone for each ep as far as the trials go. Sure there's cast interaction stuff like lovers etc, but generally you can watch each ep without knowing what happened before.
My M.O. is that if i watched a show so far and liked it, i wont delete unwatched eps on my tivo after it's canceled . For goodness sakes I thought it was good enough to tivo, i'm not gonna let some network spoil my enjoyment and tell me what to do just because the show was pulled :)
If on the other hand you wont watch it because you will become infatuated with it and dont want to get attached, i can follow that reasoning.

When Wonderfalls was cancelled, I had a few left on an old Series 1 that I was using sparingly. So I kept them because I didn't need the space. Then one week, I was sick in bed and decided to watch them. When the last one finished, I was so mad that there weren't anymore. So that reasoning does make a lot of sense.

Nah, I hadn't watched any of them. Am a L&O fan so just recorded them figuring I'd get around to watching them eventually. Pretty much, as you said, I don't want to get attached knowing it's gone, just ruins it before I even see it.
