I have a Pioneer DVD TIVO Recorder DVR-57H connected with my home Network, PC and TV. I have "published" music and photos on my TIVO Desktop and had no problems in the past, in viewing my photos and listening to music on my TV. But recently when I want to watch my photos, I received message "Error#43-100". And if I want to play music I receive "error#3-43-100".
Help please. Thanks.

I have a Tivo box and have the same situation with both the same errors. My only thought is that it worked fine until I upgraded to the 2.4 Desktop. The old 2.3 worked fine and I'd put it back but I can't locate a download anywhere.
yoost did you solve this yet or can anyone help?

Check out this thread (http://forums.tivo.com/pe/action/forums/displaysinglethread?rootPostID=10141597) on the subject at the TiVo help forums.
It appears you may have a firewall issue on your computer.

Kumaaz, Nobody ever came to my rescue since May 2006. But when out of the blue you popped up that question a couple of days ago, it awoke CuriousMark yesterday. You may want to click the underlined purple colored "this thread" in his response above. The link might help you.
Good luck.

Thanks but I didn't get too much out of that. I'd really like to find a copy of 2.3 Desktop somewhere since I'm positive 2.4 is causing the problem.
Noone knows where it can be found????

Granted, this thread is a little dated... However, I'm getting this same error 43-100 when I attempt to go to the View Pictures area on my TiVo.
The system that's running Tivo Desktop 2.5.1 is on Windows Vista 64-bit, and windows firewall is disabled. There aren't any other FWs running.
The Tivo HF is connected to my network via the Tivo branded USB wireless addon. The Tivo's IP is 192.168.64.62, my desktop 192.168.64.1. I don't have an issue using the Unbox service or any of the other internet services.

I have the same problem on a new TiVoHD and Vista computer. Same error message. The TiVo also fails its port test, but does not list any port problems just says to reconnect to network. Anyone figured this out yet. I would rather not have to try TiVo support again as level one is useless, but we'll see how level two is.

I never saw error 3-43-100 until I upgraded to TiVo 2.7.
Ever since this upgrade nothing worked stable, not once.
- I opened all ports recommended on the firewall
- I installed the latest version of Bonjour
- rebooted PC and TiVo units multiple times
I became so frustrated with version 2.7, I removed it from my PC and re-installed 2.6.
I have not had a problem since.

I'm getting this on music only; I can see published photos fine. I'm running the latest Tivo Desktop 2.8 on Windows XP Home sp 2. I have a Tivo HD DVR wired to the router; the PC is wireless. Why would it work for photos and not music? Different port?
Frustrating.

I have found this happens when Tivo the unit looses its names. Go check System Information (its under Message and Settings on your TIVO) and I always find that the unit's name has reset with the message instructing me to go to Tivo.com to set the name.
Browse to tivo.com, sign-in and go to My Account, then select DVR Preferences and change the unit's name. (Add a number or change spacing like from "Living Room" to "LivingRoom" or vice versa.) It takes a few hours for Tivo to get to where your machine will pick it up. On my Tivo I go and force it to connect and download current information and then go back to System Information and when I see the name applied the error will go away. It seems to take between four and twelve hours so be prepared to wait.
I have spent a few hours on the phone with their Tech Support and they cannot tell me why unit's loose their names. None of the guys I have spoken with seem to really know much about it, so I get them to read me what their script instructs them to do or ask and I usually pick information that goes right over their heads. :D
Hope this helps others.

Russell, thanks for the post. It's wierd. After I posted I sort of forgot about trying to figure out the issue, left things "sit" for awhile, on the network and all powered up. Went back a couple weeks later to "try" it again, and Presto, everything was resolved. Didn't really have to "fix" anything -- just give it all time to "discover", I guess. Anyway, all is well, thanks for the reply and the tips.

PS -- We LOVE this TivoSeriesII -- had no idea what we were missing hanging onto the Series I.

I'm all the sudden getting this error now on one of my TivoHDs. Along with no music or photos, the Tivo thinks I have no recordings on my PC's now playing list.
Tried rebooting the Tivo, no change. I'll reboot the PC and router next and see if that does anything.
It's weird that I have another TivoHD with no problems.
Tivo Series 2 ST
TivoHD x 2
PC running Windows 7 w/ TivoDesktop 2.8
Wired network
EDIT: As suggested above, my Tivos haven't lost their names.
EDIT 2: Rebooting the PC and router fixed things, but for how long? I'll find out soon, I'm sure.

I was getting the same error trying to access pictures and music. I was able
to fix the issue by going to Tivo Desktop >> Services >> Tivo Server Properties (on my PC -see image attached to this post).
Under the 'Access Control' tab, I clicked the 'Custom' radio button, then checked the name of my DVR displayed in the text area below the radio buttons.
After restarting the Tivo Desktop application, the error went away for both pictures and music.
Hope this helps - good luck. :)

Thanks atlromo! using Tivo Beacon fixed the problem for me as well. In my case the problem occurred just after I installed a Premiere in addition to my Series 2

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Spent 4 hours changing network settings, talking to D* and T*, could not get my pics to the TV screen. Noone knew what the error message meant. And then decided to check Tivo Comm. One change on Tivo desktop and all was fine.
Thanks again, happy holidays.
