HELP! Humax DVD Burner won't burn anymore

Can anyone help me? I have the Humax (not sure which series) DVD Burner TiVo edition. It has worked perfectly for about seven months now. When I tried to burn some of the shows I have recorded onto a dvd, it wouldn't finish and said there as an error. I have tried to burn DVD's three times now. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Any information would be great appreciated!!! :confused:

Do you get the error if you try to burn a completely different set of shows to a DVD? I had a one-time issue where a certain recording would cause an error when it was in the group of things to burn. If I left it out of the set, everything was fine.

Alternatively, have you tried a different brand of DVD-R (or DVD-RW) media?

I have tried to burning different shows each time. Additionally, I have used the same DVD's every time since I first got the machine. I will try switching out the shows and trying new DVD's. Is there anything else that might be the problem if that doesn' t work that you might now of?

First start with a reboot/restart of the system and try another burn.

If you can't make it work call Humax and they will send you a free new replacement regardless of your warranty status.

Try a DVD cleaner.

I rebooted my system and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks everyone!!

If the problem happens again, definantly try running a DVD lens cleaner through the unit. If that doesnt work, call Humax at 1-866-486-2987.
