Tivo won't dial out if......

Hi All,
If someone leaves a message on my phone, I get an intermittent dial tone that lets me know I have a message waiting. Problem is the Tivo won't dial out as it thinks there is no dial tone. Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Turn off dial tone detection in phone setup preferences.

If that still doesn't take care of it, add a comma to insert a 2 second pause before the dialing takes place. This allows the stutter tone notification to finish before dialing happens.
