The HR10 is not capable of networking in its standard form. You will need to hack it. Check out the Zipper (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=265929) in the TiVo Underground forum to find out what you can (and can't) do.

So by networking all of your Tivos, you want to go to a room with a TV and non-HD Tivo and somehow stream the HD content off the HR10-250, over the network, and to the non-HD Tivo?

This sounds next to impossible. I doubt any of the supported network adapters have the throughput to stream HD. Even if they did, you'd have to have NFS working or something like that to mount the remote filesystem (HR10-250) on the hacked non-HD Tivo. Or am I totally off base here....?

the HDTivo CAN NOT be hacked to do MRV the code to do it is not in the HR10 like it is in SD-Tivos(but the R-10 that needs a prom mod).

You can hack the HR10-250 to network, but the only version of the Tivo software that will run on it does not support Multi-Room Viewing (MRV).

There are roundabout ways to view the content from the HR10-250 on other SD Tivos, but that discussion is not allowed here, and it wouldn't be in HD if you did...

Yes you can hack it to "network" but not to MRV between two HDtivo's but there are ways to get a HD show from one HD Tivo to another HDtivo but like you said that discussion is not allowed here.

And where is that discussion allowed?

at least that way I understand we are not allowed to discuss Extraction or conversion pertaining to tivo.
